Tim DiFrancesco
Meet Dr. Tim DiFrancesco, President and Founder of TD Athletes Edge. Tim was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the LA Lakers for six seasons. Since helping Kobe Bryant and the Lakers from 2011-17, he has built an elite team of rehab and performance professionals focused on building sport durability and performance at TD Athletes Edge. The team at TD Athletes Edge now serves athletes of all levels including #4 UFC featherweight fighter, Calvin Kattar and many more.

Dennis Borg
Meet Dennis Borg MS, ATC, CSCS, Director of Coaching and Internship Coordinator. Dennis holds multiple certifications including his Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 2 Medical, Fitness, and Juniors Certifications. He has been using his knowledge of golf and swing mechanics to design strength and conditioning programs for golfers to enhance their performance while minimizing their risk for injury for nearly 10 years. With 15+ years of experience as both a NSCA Strength and Conditioning coach and certified Athletic Trainer, Dennis brings a wealth of coaching knowledge to the TDAE Team. He has worked with a wide array of athletes that have ranged in age, abilities, and sports. He holds a Master of Science in Human Movement from A.T. Still University as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Endicott College.

The Root Cause of Golf Injuries:
According to a general health questionnaire of 7,000 amateur golfers, The TPI Level 2 Medical Course reports that the most common injuries in golfers involve the lower back, shoulders, knees, and hips. They identified the six most common mechanisms for injuries as poor body mechanics, poor swing biomechanics, excessive practice, a non-regular customized exercise program, poor nutrition, and improper club fitting.
Addressing dysfunctional movement patterns and swing mechanics through a properly designed strength and conditioning program has been shown to not only reduce the risk of golf injuries but simultaneously improve golf performance. Miera & Brumitt (2010)

TD Athletes Edge is a Strength & Conditioning facility focused on performance-based training, nutrition and recovery for athletes of all levels. TDAE exists to help athletes discover their edge by offering evidence-based training that provides clients with clarity, simplicity, guidance and community. Our team of Strength & Conditioning coaches and Physical Therapists hold a wide variety of professional certifications and degrees. We combine our varied expertise and experience to lead clients safely through their individualized and sport-specific training programs.
